On this course you will learn:
Reflexology Theory & Practice
- The benefits and contraindications of reflexology
- To treat the mind, body and spirit
- Zones and their relation to organs and functions
- A full reflexology routine and how to adapt this to different clients
- Identifying various reflexes on the hands and feet
- An introduction to other natural therapies
Professional Conduct and Business Awareness
- Health, safety and hygiene
- Professional ethics and communication
- Setting up in practice including statutory regulations
- Advertising, marketing and promotions
Case Studies and Assessments
- There will be quite a lot of time required for you to study at home – a minimum of 5 hours per week
- 1 multiple choice theory paper on Professional Conduct and Business Awareness
- 1 multiple choice theory paper on Reflexology
- 40 treatments in the form of 10 case studies treating each client 4 times
- A practical examination lasting 1 hour
You may be exempt from doing the multiple choice paper in Professional Conduct and Business Awareness if you have already passed this on a previous course and you can provide evidence of this. Please contact us to discuss your individual mode of study.
The above cost and requirements are based on you already having completed a recognised theory exam in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. Evidence of this will be required at time of enrolment. If you have not completed the above qualification, you can enrol on the Reflexology Diploma including Anatomy & Physiology Module. Please contact us to discuss your individual mode of study.
After Qualification
Following successful completion of your course, therapists have gone on to work in clinics, cruise ships, health clubs, hotels, hospices, hospitals, care homes, do home visits or open their own practice to treat clients from.
